Kelsey- Lead Photographer & Founder
Kelsey is the Founder and Lead Photographer behind the brand Big Sky Family Photographer.
With 18 years of experience behind the camera, she has had the privilege of photographing incredible people in stunning locations around the world.
When she’s not capturing moments, you’ll find her trail running, mountain biking, and exploring the Montana mountains she loves.
Kelsey is passionate about documenting genuine connections and authentic moments that evoke emotion and tell a meaningful story. Years later, she still loves shooting film and is inspired by the timeless, nostalgic quality it brings to her work.
MEET THE TEAM
Jamie- Associate Photographer
Jamie has been working professionally in photography since 2015, after years of carrying around her point-and-shoot camera just about everywhere she went. Since then, her work has spanned everything from rivers and ridgelines to family sessions and commercial shoots.
Originally from the Gulf Coast and later Maui, Jamie made her way to the mountains when studying at Colorado State University and has been a mountain gal ever since. Jamie made her home here in Montana not only because of its expansive landscapes and access to big adventures, but because of the close-knit communities that make living here so meaningful.
In her work, Jamie is drawn to the details. Her approach is rooted in preserving stories and helping people see meaning in places and moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Kingon- Associate Photographer
Kingon has been a professional photographer for over 12 years and is passionate about preserving memories that will last for generations.
She believes that old family photos of loved ones who have passed hold stories that might otherwise be lost to time. To her, there is nothing quite like gathering with family, looking through old photographs, and hearing the stories, memories, and family lore behind each image. Knowing that she gets to give that gift to others is what truly fills her spirit.
Kingon also has a deep love and appreciation for Montana. She is continually inspired by its wild, untouched landscapes and the sense of preservation that makes the state so special. The beauty of the land, its open spaces, and its rugged character are things she never takes for granted.
Liz- Associate Photographer
Liz has been a photographer for over 12 years and has been lucky enough to explore all corners of the industry- from weddings to families to couples and events. Through it all, she has found that her greatest passion is photographing people across every chapter of their lives.
She finds endless inspiration in mundane everyday moments, old artwork and the stories people carry with them.
As a newer resident to this region she loves getting to know Montana and the way that it feels like home. The mountains, the wildlife and the people create a place of adventure, opportunity and a deep appreciation for the simple things.
